Facilities
The KVS three-storey building has an attractive architectural design, a spacious elegant hall, a large green play ground, a well equipped art studio, a unique growing library, self service cafeteria, drama studio, computer and science laboratories, plus our early foundation years section.
Our classes are air-conditioned, monitored by cameras, and now they are all painted with "Fenomastic" paint.
Library:
Knowledge Valley School encourages the love for reading, both for the sheer joy and because we believe that it is the most useful technological tool in the students range of skill. Reading expands the range of discovery and exploration. The library has an ambience that encourages children to read in a relaxing atmosphere. There are a wide section of fiction books in English, Arabic, German and French. Our library is managed by a professional and creative librarian who is always at hand to offer the students the proper advice on choosing books that will fire their imagination and satisfies their curiosity, she also organizes different activities such as Book Fairs and Library quizzes .
Science Laboratories:
In KVS we follow the scientific method of thinking which depends on asking scientific a question, making a hypothesis, experimenting, observing, and deducing. Out two laboratories are fully equipped to satisfy the needs of the students.Every year all parents are invited to witness the Science projects presented by their children during our annual Science Fair.
Computer Laboratory:
Knowledge Valley School is committed to provide a high quality of technological education and experience. There are two certified instructors at KVS to ensure that the students receive the best learning methods to develop their skills. The computer lab is equipped with 22 brand new computers with high speed fiber optic network connectivity to the World Wide Web. We are running Windows Vista. For the techno interested, the new computers have Intel Processors- 2.8 GHZ, with 1024 MB of RAM, and LCD monitors. The computer lab works closely with all other school departments to help students in their research work.
Clinic:
Our school clinic is run by a full time professional doctor who is dedicated to take care of our kids, handle emergencies efficiently, and contact parents when needed.
Bus service:
The organization of the School Bus Service is coordinated by the KVS Transport Office with the bus company that provides the buses. School buses are scheduled to arrive at school for 7:50 a.m. and to leave the school campus at the end of the school day at 3:15 p.m. Adult bus supervisors monitor the safety and behavior of students using the bus service. Working closely with the bus company, we do make sure that the buses are new, air conditioned and kept clean at all times. Our buses go to nearly everywhere in Cairo, it is the parents choice to select the destination of their kids, but once the bus routes have been established shortly after the start of the academic year in September, we cannot guarantee that new stops can be added later on during the year.
Cafeteria:
Knowledge valley school provides its students with morning breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks. A delicious menu is agreed upon by the admission office on weekly bases. Parents are informed about the type of food that their children are given and they have the choice to select what is best for their kids. The school makes sure that the food provided is healthy with no junk stuff. The meal is ordered one day in advance and only coupons are accepted, no cash is needed to buy the meal.
Music rooms:
In KVS we believe that music inspires children. Professional music teachers teach music to classes starting from Early Years Foundation Stage. Children learn how to play an instrument and enjoy their music choir lessons.
Sports:
Our school has a football and a basketball court in addition to a running track and a dancing room with a large full-walled mirror on one of the walls.
Security:
As an international school, security of our children and school is one prime concern. The school gates are always locked during school hours. All visitors have to report to the main office in the reception before they can enter further into the building.
